Ronaldo scores twice to secure silverware with new club
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice to lead Al Nassr to victory in the Arab Club Championship final on Saturday. The Portuguese star struck twice in the final 10 minutes to secure a 2-1 win over Al Hilal at Al-Awwal Park stadium. It was Ronaldo's first piece of silverware with his new club since joining from Manchester United earlier this year. Al Nassr took the lead in the first half through Anderson Talisca, but Al Hilal levelled through Moussa Marega after the break. However, Ronaldo had the final say, scoring two late goals to give Al Nassr the victory. The win will be a boost for Al Nassr, who are aiming to win the Saudi Pro League title this season. Ronaldo will be hoping to continue his scoring form when Al Nassr return to action against Al Taawoun on Thursday.
